The Sacred Community Shop aims to be a regenerative hub that honors everyone involved, including the patrons, artists, cultures, laborers, supply chains, Earth, and the people SCP is in direct service to. In this way we move beyond “ethical capitalism” and towards an embodiment of Sacred Community. Read more about our principles and practices below.

FAIR AND SHARE

We believe that everyone should be fairly compensated for their work. We seek out production companies that have high ethical standards and transparency about their supply chains, materials, and labor. For collaborative projects/products, the artists receive 40% of all profits from their pieces sold. The other 40% goes directly to support Sacred Community Project. Beverly, the shop manager and fulfillment fairy, receives 20% for running the shop.

A NOTE ON PACKAGING

Our path of service includes taking good care of Mother Earth: How do we ship orders safely while minimizing the amount of packaging waste and pollution? There are many excellent resources available to educate and empower all of us to participate responsibly. The packaging materials that we use for shipping are made of 100% recycled material and fully recyclable and/or compostable. We aren’t shy about re-using packaging that’s still in good condition. Once it is in your hands, please reuse, repurpose, or properly dispose of the packaging. Learn more about specific materials here. We are always striving to improve our practices and welcome you to share your suggestions/feedback via the contact form below.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How much does shipping and handling cost?
Standard shipping and handling within the U.S. is included in the price listed. We want to be careful to not call it “free shipping” because shipping is never actually free: packaging, fuel, labor, time—they all cost something somewhere in the cycle. Whenever possible, we offer a downloadable digital option for books and art—no shipping at all!

Do you ship internationally?
When possible, yes! Please send us an email Beverly@sacredcommunityproject.org before placing your order to determine postage costs.

When will my order arrive?
We are currently shipping all orders via USPS First Class mail. Please allow 3-5 days for orders to be processed. We appreciate your patience as we navigate order fulfillment during these pandemic times and take extra care to ensure that all items are packaged in a sanitized and safe way for everyone. If you need something sooner, please inquire about faster shipping options at Beverly@sacredcommunityproject.org

What is your return policy?
All sales are final, but sometimes mistakes happen and we definitely want to make things right, so please feel free to contact us with any concerns at Beverly@sacredcommunityproject.org

I purchased a DIY product and my dog ate the instructions sheet… where can I get another copy?
Check out our handy instructions page. It also includes information for product care (i.e. apparel wash instructions) so that your items can be enjoyed for as long as possible.
