PRISON OUTREACH

Sacred Community Project works to lower the barriers of access to spiritual teachings and practices for people who are incarcerated or otherwise marginalized by society. We are deeply committed to the wide accessibility of contemplative and devotional practices and offer affordable, donation-based offerings and prison outreach.

We offer spiritual support through letter writing, educational materials, and in-person programing to incarcerated individuals across the country. Through multiple partnerships including the Love, Serve, Remember Foundation and Human Kindness Foundation, we can also offer books by Ram Dass in addition to our own SCP publications.

If anyone is in the prison system, they can write to us at the address below or through our contact page.

This is what SACRED COMMUNITY looks like: when we realize we aren't separate and so resources flow freely to where they are most needed. Our satsang extends beyond our usual kirtan and retreat family. There are sincere seekers, just like you, who are behind bars this very moment, their heart burning with longing for the God Within, who can't just go to a kirtan whenever they want, who don't have access to the same books or teachers, who can't just hop on the internet for words of wisdom, and who are asking for support.

Let's do our part to make SACRED COMMUNITY a reality.
