INSTRUCTIONS + PRODUCT CARE INFO
IRON-ON TRANSFER
Works best on 100% cotton, 100% polyester, or poly/cotton blends
Preheat clothes iron to highest setting without any steam. Iron garment to get any wrinkles or moisture out.
Peel off the white backing layer. Place clear transfer sheet with design on garment. Cover transfer with a thin sheet such as tissue paper, bandana, or handkerchief (to protect the clear sheet from direct contact with the iron).
On a flat, hard surface, iron transfer onto garment by applying even, medium pressure for 20-30 seconds.
Slowly peel clear transfer sheet away from design while it’s still hot. If design has not adhered completely, repeat previous step.
Laundry care tips:
Machine wash in cold water with mild detergent
Dry on normal dryer setting
Do not bleach or dry clean
WHAT TO DO WITH PACKAGING
Reuse, repurpose, recycle (in that order)
Polymailer (plastic pouches that apparel are shipped in): The polymailers we use are made with 100% recycled materials and have a second adhesive strip for reusing the mailer. If you are not reusing the mailer, it can be recycled—BUT! Know that most municipal recycling facilities cannot accept plastic bags because they get stuck in the sorting machinery. There are grocery stores or other organizations that have collection bins for plastic bag drop-off. Here’s one list to start from.
Ever wonder what the bags get recycled into? Plastic bag recycling involves chipping the bags into pellets. While pellets can then be reprocessed into new bags, they will most likely be manufactured into plastic lumber and insulation materials.
Envelopes and cardboard mailers: 100% recyclable! These can go right into regular recycling bins.
Poster tubes: Reusable and recyclable! We choose to use mailing tubes that close by folding in the ends instead of the more common ones that are sealed with plastic caps. Every little bit helps.
T-SHIRTS
Laundry instructions: Turn the shirt inside out to protect the screenprinted graphics during machine wash and drying.
Disposal tips:
1. Donate it
2. Repair/patch it
3. Repurpose it: cleaning rags, quilting projects, etc.
4. Totally raggedy? There are many organizations that will take fabric scraps for recycling
